Hibiscus Hesthøj is a well-sized colt born in 2023. He has an excellent expression, a well-set, well-shaped, and well-placed neck. His topline is slightly compact. His movement is characterized by good action in both the forehand and hindquarters. He is calm and very communicative.

He is sired by UVM silver medalist Vitalos, with Florencio as his dam's sire. His dam is Elite Mare Flora Danica ERDH, who also produced the mare Hortensia, competing at the S-dressage level with a Finnish young rider. Hortensia is the dam of Filligran (by Fürstenball), who won the Youngster Cup in 2021 and debuted in Intermediare at the CDI event during the DV stallion grading in 2022, where he placed.

The same dam line includes several Grand Prix horses.
