Edelweiss Hesthøj is a mare born in 2020. She is a beautiful mare with a great deal of confidence, which also gives her a lot of courage.

In 2023, Edelweiss Hesthøj was approved in the RDH during her saddle grading. She is of suitable size, noble, and harmonious, with a good gender expression. She has a pretty head with plenty of expression, a well-formed and well-set neck of appropriate length, a good saddle position, a strong topline and hindquarters, and a correct and strong foundation. Her movement is good and rhythmical in all gaits, with good shoulder freedom.

Edelweiss Hesthøj is fearless but also very loving, making her easy to handle.

She is sired by the world champion for 7-year-old dressage horses, D’Avie, with Florencio as the dam's sire. Her dam is the elite mare Flora Danica ERDH, who is also the dam of the mare Hortensia, competing in S-dressage with a Finnish young rider. Hortensia is the dam of Filligran (by Fürstenball), who won the Youngster Cup in 2021 and debuted in Intermediare at the CDI event during the DV stallion grading in 2022, where he placed.

The same dam line includes several Grand Prix horses. 

Edelweiss Hesthøj is the full sister to Floréal Hesthøj.
