Duet-D was a mare born at Jørn Dam’s in 2004. Our stud farm’s foundation began with Duet-D, who was meant to be our cornerstone broodmare. Unfortunately, she was very difficult to get in foal and maintain a pregnancy. We only managed to get two offspring from her, with only one being viable. For many years, we struggled to produce offspring from Duet-D due to her highly interesting bloodlines. Fortunately, the viable offspring was a filly, who has shown excellent fertility. 

Duet-D was a well proportioned, expressive mare with a strong topline and good gaits with excellent hock action. As an offspring by Michellino, she could be a bit tense and fiery, but never uncontrollable. If she became excited while being handled, she would perform passage in a halter without pulling. The advanced movements (passage and piaffe) were always just around the corner.

At two years old, Duet-D was selected for the Elite Show.

She was sired by the elite stallion Michellino with elite stallion Midt-West Ibi-Light as her dam's sire. Her dam was the elite and bronze medal mare Daylight EBRDH. Her dam's dam was the elite and gold medal mare Diana – yes, THE Diana, Danish Warmblood's first gold medal mare. Overall, a fantastic pedigree.
